Diana Embalmed Illegally !

Princess Diana / Reuters
Inquest ... Jean Monceau said he regretted embalming Diana without official written consent from her family / Reuters Source: No credit

THE man who did the controversial embalming of Princess Diana's body admitted yesterday that the procedure was illegal.

Jean Monceau said he regretted going ahead without official written consent from her family as French law required but insisted he did not realise he was doing anything wrong at the time.

Harrods boss Mohamed al Fayed, whose son Dodi also died in the crash, has claimed the procedure was ordered by MI6 to obliterate chemical traces of a pregnancy.

Mr al Fayed believes Diana was carrying Dodi's baby and was murdered to prevent the mother of the future king having a Muslim child.

But Mr Monceau told the London inquest into the Princess's death the embalming was done because of fears that her body was deteriorating.

Mr Monceau estimated he had embalmed 13,000 bodies before the Princess's, and he lectures on the subject across Europe.

"If I had known at the time that it would lead to such investigations, to my being questioned so many times, I would have waited until the next Monday," he said.

"I would have waited until I would have received all the necessary official authorisations."

Mr Monceau said the embalming at the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital started at 2pm on August 31 1997, 10 hours after Diana was declared dead, and took two hours.

"It was not possible to present the body in the state that it was, without any clothes on and only prepared with dry ice," he said.

The jury also heard from Maud Coujard, who as a deputy public prosecutor, authorised the release of Diana's and Dodi's bodies at 8am on August 31.

She did not recall playing any part in the decision to embalm.

The inquest was told Diana's body was not taken to a refrigerated mortuary for security reasons.

The hearing continues.

Diana Pregnant : Columnist Jim Keith Mentioned The Name Of The Physician Who Declared Diana Was Pregnant At The Time Of her Death.

The PLOT Thickens

Quote:

Jim Keith died after knee surgery on September 8, 1999.

He was a dear friend of mine and an important person to the world. The loss is immeasurable. He was not just the co-author of The Octopus, but a dharma combatant who demonstrated time and again that the world is far more multi-dimensional, far more interesting, than the pablum that usually passes for news, information and normal discourse. Unfortunately, it is also far more dangerous.

Rumor has it that Jim may have been killed because he mentioned the name of the physician who declared Diana was pregnant at the time of her death.

I have long noted the connections between Diana's death and the Octopus.

Diana was the subject of Jim's last column for Nitro News, which has been linked via the web site of my magazine, Steamshovel Press, for the past couple of weeks.

Nitro News has not been accessible since Jim's death, although I reached it just before receiving word of his passing.

This rumor may be nonsense.

Casolaro may have committed suicide.

It is the way of the Octopus. It exists but it doesn't exist.

These are blood clots or suicides or non-suspicious homicides or real accidents. They just happen to cluster coincidentally around a certain set of facts or a certain perception of an organized conspiracy.

And if Jim Keith did not die as a result of a conspiracy, then I'm sure he would want us to make it look that way!

I hope all will remember Jim Keith for his good humor and for his fearlessness. He wrote what he knew and he let the chips fall where they might. He lived on the edge, where I usually tried to catch up with him. I hope he taught me enough about the place to keep up the work to which we were both committed.

Thank you again. Remember Jim!

The Lingering Case Of Princess Diana

By Ken Thomas

On the last day of August 1997, driver Henri Paul (with Prozac and the sedative Tiapridal in his system, and perhaps drunk to some degree) took Diana Princess of Wales and her boyfriend Dodi Fayad on a ride into the Pont D'Alma tunnel in Paris.

The car passed a white Fiat and, after a blinding flash [1] and smashed into a concrete pillar at over 90 miles per hour and ricocheted into a tunnel wall. Paul and the 42 year old Dodi Al Fayad died immediately.

Paramedics gave the 34 year old Diana a blood transfusion at the scene, but her heart stopped in the ambulance. She died four hours after the crash.

Like the Kennedy assassination, the details of how Diana died cause great conspiracy theorizing. [2] Just as JFK's death was officially investigated and declared the result of a single gunman acting alone, official investigations of Diana's death concluded that it was a simple automobile accident.

The unlikely coincidences of the crash, however, and unanswered questions left most people interested in the topic with the suspicion that it was an assassination, done for the sake of keeping Diana from pursuing her relationship with Dodi Al Fayad, an Egyptian, a Muslim and the son of powerful businessman, Mohamed Al Fayed, at odds with the crown and other power elements in the UK [3].

Conspiracy columnist Jim Keith suggested that Diana was pregnant with Dodi Al Fayed's child at the time of her death, and Keith himslef died under unusual circumstances shortly thereafter, leading some to speculate that it had something to do with the revelation.

What keeps Diana's death a topic of intense interest among conspiracy students are the facts, rumors and weird connections that relate it directly to Danny Casolaro's Octopus research.

In fact, four years after Diana's fatal wreck, which occurred six years after Casolaro's mysterious "suicide", the disaster in the Pont D'Alma tunnel brought the story of the Octopus, the PROMIS software, and Casolaro's world of Iran-Contra spies, arms merchants and corrupt politicos back in the news.

Noted almost immediately was the shadowy presence of Adnan Khashoggi in the background of the Diana death.

Khashoggi was Dodi Fayed's uncle and a well-known broker of military hardware deals in volving Saudi Arabia stretching back to the 1970s. [4] A few days before his death, Casolaro took his friend Ben Mason down into his basement and proudly showed him several photocopied pages documenting contra arms transfers involving Khashoggi and a partner, Manucher Ghorbanifar.

Casolaro even had copies of BCCI checks drawn on Khashoggi's accounts.

Mason later reported that Casolaro was elated over a source he was about to meet in West Virginia, someone Casolaro described to Virginia McCullough as being involved in guns-and-drugs transfers.

Casolaro told a fellow hotel guest, Mike Looney, that he was meeting with an Arab.

No one has suggested that Casolaro planned to meet Khashoggi or even a compatriot, but he was investigating Iran-Contra arms dealings and he did place great importance on that final meeting, and called it something that would wrap up his Octopus research.

As with all of his research, however, this final tributary led to others involving Octopus entanglements beyond Iran- Contra and beyond PROMIS and Inslaw.

Casolaro's focus on the Khashoggi documents at the end almost certainly involved knowledge of Khashoggi's April 1986 meeting with Tony Rowland, Australian tycoon, publisher of The Observer newspaper and an adversary of Mohammad Al Fayed's attempt to gain British citizenship.

[5] Khashoggi, Gorbanifar and journalist/Israeli foreign adviser Amiram Nir attempted to persuade Rowland to join the Iran-Contra effort by helping sell arms to Iran.

The attempted alliance bogged down after the meeting, when Rowland inquired into US circles about covert support for such an effort. It seems very likely that Casolaro knew about this alliance between Dodi Fayed's maternal uncle, Khashoggi, and his father's bitter enemy, Rowland. Its deeper significance, of course, became clear after Casolaro's death, and after Diana's. [6]

But it came as no surprise coincidence that in search of justice in what he regards as the murder of his son and Princess Diana, Mohammad Al Fayed returned to the history and speculation about the multinational Octopus cabal that was so important to Danny Casolaro.

In the early fall of 2000, Al Fayed filed a Freedom of Information Act suit against the CIA and several other US intelligence services. He declared his intent to recover documents orignally surfaced by a self-proclaimed CIA agent named Oswald LeWinter.

LeWinter previously had tried to sell documents to an Al Fayed cohort in Austria, documents purportedly implicating the British government in the Diana crash. LeWinter was arrested as a fraud, however, and sentenced in Vienna, 1998, to four years imprisonment.

LeWinter apparently still holds to the authenticity of the doucments, stating that "I had a choice at my arrest to identify the documents as genuine or as fakes. If I said genuine, I would face charges in the US of high treason . . . so I said they were forgeries and was arrested for fraud."

Rumor and speculation continued to move Diana and the Octopus closer together in the thinking of conspiracy students as Michael Riconsociuto, Danny Casolaro's main informant, himself emerged again to make a connecting link.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, key players in the original tale of the PROMIS software piracy, reopened its investigation into the affair in 1999/2000 when it conducted a series of interviews with a former stockbroker in Ontario named John Belton.

Reporters from the Toronto Star discovered from Belton that the RCMP had reopened its investigation into the Canadian role in the Inslaw affair and the possible threat it represented to Canadian security. "Belton said RCMP officers have already confirmed to him that they do use the PROMIS software [and the security of the RCMP has been compromised as a result of trap doors in the software.] . . .

The chainsmoking Belton unraveled his story at the kitchen table of his sprawling, ramshackle house near Ottawa. The table is stacked with thick binders jammed with documents detailing his allegations.

Court documents, detailed notes of telephone conversations and newspaper clippings are marked up with highlighter and neatly organized." The Star quoted Belton as saying "You're not dealing with paranoid crazies, or the UFO guys. I'm very serious about this." [7]read more

Princess Diana And Iran-Contra - Is There A Link ?

Quote

The recent royal wedding has led to a resurgence of public interest in the "conspiracy theory" that the car accident that killed Princess Diana of Wales was arranged for her by the royal family and British intelligence. Mohammed Al Fayed, the billionaire father of Dodi Al Fayed, who was also killed in the, has spent millions of dollars on litigation attempting to prove that the French and British government guilty of a massive cover-up.

His case is based in large part to statements Diana made to friends about a "black network" that wanted her dead and would set her up to die in a car accident.

However it is also supported by inconsistencies in the “official” account of the accident.

The most serious is the claim by French police that the limousine driver’s blood alcohol level was three times the normal limit – which is disputed by the bodyguard Rhees-Jones, who survived the accident, as well as family, friends and work colleagues of the driver Henri Paul.

The latter describe him as a highly conscientious professional who rarely drank to intoxication and never while on duty.

Others include the failure of the French police to seal the crime scene and the extraordinary length of time it took to get medical attention for Diana, who was still conscious immediately after the accident.

After taking thirty minutes to get to the scene, the ambulance drivers left her at the side of the road while they extracted other victims from the limousine.

It then took the ambulance an hour to drive her four miles to the hospital....read more

Unlawfull Killing :Keith Allen On Controversial Diana Documentary

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/at-the-movies/a319482/keith-allen-on-his-diana-doc-unlawful-killing.html

Talking at Cannes film festival, director Keith Allen defended his documentary 'Unlawful Killing', about the death of Princess Diana which was funded by Mohamed Al Fayed. (May 13)

His own personal opinion on Diana's death...

"I do believe that Diana was in a position to rock a number of boats, I do believe that a warning may have sufficed.

I remember with Mo Mowlam when she banged her head, they could easily report anything she said that had been contentious within the framework that Mo's mad.

So I think there's a chance [Diana] may have survived the accident, they could argue that anything she said could be put down to a nasty crack on the head. I think it may have gone too far.

I also believe that there is a cover-up about the presentation of evidence."

SAFRA FILE : Friends Of Andanson Who Were Close To SIS Discovered That He Had Been Killed By A Yugoslav Intelligence Agent Who Had Worked On The Murder Of Edmmond Safra.

"According to the kept-confidential understanding of a sort of study group, made up, after the death of Andanson, of friends whom the photographer had known and formed within in an English company of investigators with security close to the British services, the photographer was assassinated by a henchman of Yugoslav origin, T…, usually working and living under the pseudonym of a great family of the French nobility, known also though the singer Amanda Lear."

Is the reference to "henchman" ("un homme de main") an indication that Andanson's killer freelanced as a fellow photographer? A passage lower down in the linked dossier indicates that "T" worked as an agent on the "Safra file," referring to the international murder case of Edmond Safra, the founder of the Republic National Bank in New York, in 1999 (two years after Diana's death), for which an ex-Green Beret, Ted Maher, was convicted.
[

The reference to the "British services" means of course the British Intelligence Services (SIS and MI5). In other words, a group of friends of Andanson who were close to SIS discovered that he had been killed by a Yugoslav intelligence agent who had worked on the murder of Edmmond Safra.

James Andanson Murdered By A Yogoslav Code- Named "T" Connected To Intelligence Agencies

One has to dig and search for information and always wise to copy and paste in case said information should disappear.

Quote

I have discovered a passage in one of the investigative archives of a French newspaper that blows the official story of Princess Diana's death sky high, changing it from a car accident to an assassination. In the dossier entitled "France" at

[

there is a detailed account of the death of James Andanson, the notorious paparazzi photographer, whom many students of Princess Diana's death suspect was the driver of the white Fiat Uno that was seen coming out of the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris seconds after Dodi Fayed's car crashed. It is now known that this high society photographer spent several hours on board Dodi's yacht a few days before the crash, being invited to take photos of Diana and Dodi for newspapers and magazines. See:

He was found dead less than three years after the tragedy in 1997 in a burnt-out car in woodlands near Montpellier in France, his body so badly charred that it took the police nearly a month to establish his identity, using DNA and dental records. A fireman, Mr Pelat, who arrived on the scene of the burning car, said that he saw two bullet holes in Andanson's head

[

The police, however, concluded that Andanson had committed suicide when he discovered his wife was having an affair with a local farmer. His wife, as well as friends, adamantly rejected this. She said: "My husband was not more depressed two days before his death than six months or three years ago." She also said that he often bragged about being at the scene of the crash that fateful night (see the video above). Someone took this last photo of Diana alive in the car in the tunnel just before it crashed:

[

(Well, perhaps not the very last. Photos have been released of Diana still alive after the crash). The point is: did Andanson take it? He owned a white Fiat Uno, paint from which matched exactly that found on Dodi's Mercedes. He repainted the car and sold it in October, 1997, a few months after Diana's death.

What is odd about Andanson's death is that his badly charred body was found inside his locked car but no car keys were found either inside or outside it on the ground.

How was that possible?

What person intent on shooting himself inside his car would bother, anyway, to set fire to it first just before pulling the trigger?

And how could he manage to shoot himself twice in the head?!

If he was murdered because he drove the car that (intentionally or accidently) bumped into Dodi's car, causing it to swerve and crash, the assassin made the blunder of holding onto the keys after shooting Andanson and locking the car in which his burnt body was found.

The absence of the car keys proves that he was shot by someone else, therefore indicating a conspiracy to silence him.

Here is the crucial passage in the English translation of the French archive on Andanson at:
[

Its English translation, still garbled by the Google translator, is:

"According to the confidential report ¹ d ³ a kind of group studies ² ¹, formed after the death of Andanson ¹ by friends that the photographer was able to do in an Anglo-Saxon ¹ d investigative and security services near the British photographer has been murdered by a man Peaceful Yugoslav ¹, T. .., usually operating under the pseudonym d ¹ a large family of French nobility, also known to the singer Amanda Lear."

Now, Amanda Lear is a famous French transexxual singer and TV show hostess who was a close friend of Salvador Dali.

[

In 1979, she married the bisexual French aristocrat Alain-Philippe Malagnac d'Argens:

[

It is suspected that this man killed himself in a fire at his home in 2000 in a suicide pact with his former close male friend, who had died shortly before.

So what this explosive passage in "Le Investigateur" is saying is that a Yugoslav code-named "T", who worked under a pseudonym that is part of this aristocrat's name, murdered the very man whom many suspect was involved in the assassination of Princess Diana!

That this man "T" was connected to intelligence agencies is strongly suggested in the following passage from "L'investigateur":

"But information of the British from now on came from to (sic) a service French information, attached to the Ministry for Defense. They could have unexpected developments. (Old) connections of T… with Amanda Lear feed from the interrogations on death by fire - a mania - D ¹ Alain-Philippe Malagnac, the husband of the singer, on December 28, 2000. T. would have worked a little, also, a year before, on the Safra file - name of the owner of National Républic Bank of New York, asphyxiated in a fire with L ¹ interior of its building-fortress of Monaco, on December 6, 1999. According to L ¹ official investigation, fire had been lit in a dustbin by an old green beret (commando of the special forces) American, Ted Maher. It came D ¹ to be recruited as male nurse, and lived a love disappointed with one of his colleagues… "
[

Notice the reference to working on the "Safra file". This refers to the murder of Edmond Safra, the founder of the Republic National Bank in New York, in 1999 (two years after Diana's death), for which an ex-Green Beret, Ted Maher, was convicted.

[

Safra employed security guards trained by the Israeli Mossad and had contacts with the FBI.

So his murder was of great interest to intelligence agencies because he had made enemies with the Russian mafia.

The man codennamed "T", named by the French newspaper website as Andanson's killer, was therefore very likely either an intelligence agent or a free-lance hitman who carried out "wet jobs" for intelligence agencies.

Here, therefore.is indisputable evidence from a French source specializing in digging the dirt on French politicians and famous people that confirms that James Andanson did not kill himself but was assassinated by a Yugoslav involved in some way with international murder cases (worked on the "Safra file").

The question now is: why was Andanson killed?

He had started to brag about his presence at the crash scene and about slipping away from the French police (he left that night for Corsica - a mafia haven).

Could it be that he became a dangerous liability to those who had used him to cause the crash that killed Diana?

If so, he had to be silenced before his long-suspected free-lance work for French and British intelligence agencies became exposed.

Mystery Of The 12 Men In The Shadows - Daily Express

02/10/06

By John Chapman

MYSTERIOUS "men in suits" were lurking in the tunnel where Princess Diana died in a car crash, a key witness has revealed. The witness claims he saw a dozen people standing in the shadows seconds before her tragic death in August 1997. Record producer Jacques Morel, 59, believes that the group, which included photographers, expected to see Diana’s Mercedes "brought to a halt by another car." He claims her death was a "stunt" which went disastrously wrong

Diana (pictured), boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed and driver Henri Paul died in the Paris tunnel when their car careered into a concrete pillar.

Morel, now living in Tunisia, says his evidence will prove vital and could provide the key to the most controversial investigation in history. He has told British detectives: "I remember exactly what happened on the night of the crash.

"I was driving home after a Chinese meal with my wife Moufida. As we entered the Alma tunnel I saw to my left a dozen shady figures on a tiny pavement by the side of the opposite carriageway. They were standing in a long line. The sight was unforgettable.

The pavement is narrow and next to fast-moving traffic.

It was certainly not a sensible place to stand around.

A few seconds later there was an almighty bang and a flash of light. I realised there had been a crash. My first thought was that those inside the tunnel were connected with what had happened. This thought has never left me.

A car coming from the opposite direction had gone straight into a pillar. All of the other drivers stopped, so I did too. There was a symphony of car horns then white smoke filled the tunnel. I rushed to the crash scene. My mobile would not work when I tried to call emergency services. I was devastated when I saw the Princess in her white trousers in the back of the car. She looked so serene and peaceful but it was the end. It was one of the most heartbreaking scenes of my life. I will never forget seeing her face. Others were lying around Diana.

I saw the white Fiat Uno being driven away by someone I later learned was James Andanson, a well-known informer for the paparazzi and security services.

James Andanson: The photographer was found dead in a burnt out BMW with a hole in his head

James Andanson: The photographer was found dead in a burnt out BMW with a hole in his head

The photographer accused of helping MI6 to murder Princess Diana was found in a burnt-out BMW with a hole in his head, a court heard today.

James Andanson died after boasting to friends of having secretly taken "explosive" photos of the Paris crash scene, the Diana inquest was told.

The Frenchman owned a white Fiat Uno, which Mohamed Al Fayed claims he used to cause the fatal collision that killed the princess and his son Dodi.

The Harrods boss believes the photographer was planning to go public with his "involvement" in the alleged British secret service plot when his charred body was found in a forest near his home in the South of France in May 2000.

French Investigating officer Jean-Michel Lauzun told the London hearing that he arrived while the vehicle was still ablaze and saw the corpse alight at the steering wheel with a two inch hole in his left temple.

But police concluded that it was a suicide after a pathologist said the hole was due to the intense heat of the fire after he set alight to himself.

High levels of carbon monoxide was also found in his blood, suggesting Andanson was alive inside the fireball long enough to inhale fumes, rather than being killed beforehand.

But Mr Al Fayed's barrister Michael Mansfield QC suggested he may have been attacked before the car was set on fire.

He said: "We just don't know whether it s a case of a man consigning himself to a bizarre and painful death or whether in fact some violence had been meted out to him first."

Diana
Diana: There is still mystery about a white Fiat Uno which collided with the Princess' Mercedes
r the August 1997 crash, Andanson had bragged to friends that he had trailed Diana's Mercedes into the Alma Tunnel where it smashed into a pillar.

Unlike other paparazzi in the chase, he claimed to have been too "cunning" to get rounded up by the police afterwards and escaped arrest.

His photos from the scene were kept hidden in a safe and would cause a furore when they were published, he insisted.

French police were later tipped off about Andanson's claims, but when they interviewed him he produced receipts to show that on the night of the crash he had been in Lignieres, 170 miles to the south of Paris.

And while he had owned a white Fiat Uno, tests showed that paint flecks on the Mercedes could not have come from it.

Mr Al Fayed claims Diana and Dodi were killed on the orders of Prince Philip because she was pregnant with his child and they were planning to marry.

Princess Diana Inquest Begins

DIANA - CHILDHOOD HOME MOVIES

Henri Paul :Lord Stevens team have failed to come up with any credible explanation for the level of 20.7% Carbon Monoxide level found in the sample of blood

Why the blood samples taken at that time are unreliable. Why Al Fayed barristers will easily establish some kind of reasonable doubt in the jury's mind .

1) Five samples of blood were allegedly taken from Paul's body, they were all processed and dealt with in precisely the same way

2) Two of those samples were sent off to different laboratories for testing, and the remaining three were kept at the Institute where the autopsy was carried out.

3) The two samples tested both allegedly showed identical and excessive samples of Alcohol. One of those same samples was also tested for Carbon Monoxide and showed a level of 20.7% Although it was said in the report made at the time that the unused remains of the samples actually tested would be stored and preserved, it was eventually claimed during court proceedings in Paris that in fact there is nothing left of those two samples. Accordingly, there have been no DNA tests on the two samples which were used as the basis for the Alcohol levels and as the basis for the allegation that Paul was drunk.

3) The authorities and the Lord Stevens team have failed to come up with any credible explanation for the level of 20.7% Carbon Monoxide level found in the sample of blood which was not only tested for Alcohol but also for Carbon Monoxide.

All the international experts retained by Mr Al Fayed, as well as, so we are told, those retained by the police accept that Henri Paul could not have had that level of Carbon Monoxide.

That is why virtually every expert who has been involved say that it is most unlikely that this blood could have come from Henri Paul.
4) Three unused and untested samples of blood allegedly taken from Henri Paul's body on the night of 31st August should still remain. However, in the Paris Court proceeding, Professor Lecompte has confirmed on oath and under examination that in fact she only took three samples of blood from Henri Paul's body on 31 August.

Why did the record books made under his supervision show five samples if only three were taken from Henri Paul, and where did the other two come from?

No one has been able to explain this.

Were these additional ones the two that were sent off for testing and which not only showed the high Alcohol level but also the impossibly high Carbon Monoxide level.

If Henri Paul had actually had that combination of Alcohol and Carbon Monoxide level, he could not have stood, let alone drive.

5) The three unused samples which were never sent for testing probably did come from Henri Paul.

These are probably the three which Professor Lecompte now confirms she took.

It is one of those samples which has been tested for DNA which is why the tests show that it almost certainly came from Henri Paul.

The ones sent in 1997 for Alcohol testing do not now exist and have never been tested for DNA. 'No blood ever used for alcohol testing has ever been DNA tested'.

Whatever was left over from that blood has been destroyed so that it cannot be now tested for DNA.

6) A further sample of blood was taken from Henri Paul's body 4 days later (on 4th September 1997) in front of the French investigating Judge, Herve Stephan.

This was sent off to Dr Pepin, the same toxicologist who had carried out the original Alcohol/Carbon Monoxide test, and who in fact owned the laboratory.

Apart from the 4 day time difference, this blood sample was taken using a different method and taken from a from a completely different part of the body.

Top International experts agree that, under those circumstances, no one should have obtained a closely similar or identical Alcohol reading to the blood taken on 31st August, 2007.

But amazingly, the person to whom they were sent, the self same Dr. Pepin, allegedly obtained an almost identical figure. Even more incredible is the fact that the unused remains of that blood also allegedly no longer exist and so cannot be tested for Henri Paul's DNA!

7) The samples allegedly all taken at the same time from Henri Paul are, we now know, in different sorts of bottles, some have typed labels and some have handwritten labels.

There is even evidence of someone else's name having been scratched out on one and Henri Paul's name written in.

Henri Paul's Parents Fight Back

The parents of Henri Paul, the driver blamed for the car crash that killed Princess Diana almost five years ago, launched a legal campaign last week in an attempt to clear their son's name.

Within hours of the announcement by Jean and Gisele Paul, Mohammed Al Fayed, whose son Dodi was also killed in the wreck along with Paul, instructed his lawyers to launch "a parallel legal action on the same issue."

The legal moves by the Pauls and Al Fayed are aimed at forcing French authorities to turn over blood samples taken during the autopsy of Henri Paul for independent analysis and DNA testing. The Pauls believe the blood samples used to prove their son was drunk on the night of the infamous crash, were mixed up in a busy Paris morgue and do not belong to their son.

"We want to know the truth. We're certain that our son wasn't drunk," Paul's mother, Gisele Paul, told BBC radio. "We don't accept it. ... They say parents can be biased, but everyone he knew would say the same."

Gisele Paul said 30 autopsies were done at a Paris morgue on the day Paul's body was taken there. "You can imagine how they could have been mixed up. You can see how there could have been a mistake," she told the BBC.

"They said his liver was in perfect condition and we would have known, we would have seen, if he had been drinking." she said. "On the 28th of August he passed his medical exam for his pilot's licence. Everything was fine. Three days later he was labelled alcoholic."

Al Fayed has always contested the French court's findings, which exonerated photographers who were pursuing the princess's car August 31, 1997. He told reporters he had been refused permission for his own scientists to test the samples in the past and remained convinced that the blood sample was switched.

The Pauls insist that the blood samples showing their son's BAC level at .175 were not from his blood, because the high level of carbon monoxide found in the tested blood would have made him incapable of walking, much less driving a car.

But the blood tests were not the only evidence pointing to Henri Paul's intoxication on the night of the crash. Hair samples showed he had been drinking for at least a week and had been on prescription drugs for months.

Earlier tests showed that Henri Paul's blood contained "sub-therapeutic levels" of tiapride -- a drug commonly used in the treatment of alcoholics -- which he had apparently stopped taking.

Also, independent investigations by CNN and Time magazine found that Henri Paul started bar-hopping at 4 o'clock that afternoon and continued to drink even after being called back to work at the Paris Ritz Hotel at 10 p.m.

"Historically the impression left was that our son was Princess Diana's assassin. That's false," said Jean Paul.

Diana: The Final Word? Inquest Documentary following Unlawful Killing verdict 2008

Martyn Gregory, author of the acclaimed book about the death of Diana: 'Diana: the Last Days' covered the Inquest every week during its six month duration for Sky News. Once the jury had returned an Unlawful Killing verdict due to the negligence of Henri Paul and the Papparazzi, the conspiracy theories had been finally debunked. He presented this documentary reviewing the evidence that led to the Inquest verdict.

The interviews include Kez Wingfield, the second bodyguard who was assigned to look after Dodi and Diana on the fatal night, reveals it was Mr Al Fayed who approved the plan for their exit from the Ritz. Diana's former London police bodyguard Ken Wharfe offers his opinion on the plan.

Claude Roulet, the former Deputy Director of the Ritz, who was in charge of the Hotel that day as the Director was on vacation, states he saw Henri Paul in a bar that evening before he returned to the Hotel. He also gives an account of his last conversation with Henri Paul.

Dr Robert Forrest, a professor of forensic toxicology, gives his analysis of how much Henri Paul had had to drink before he took the wheel.

The driver who brought the Mercedes up from the car park to the back of the Ritz reveals he was ordered to give the keys to Henri Paul despite him not having the qualifications to drive Diana and Dodi.

Claude Roulet says the professional chauffeurs who could have driven Diana and Dodi noticed Henri Paul was not his normal self.

The Police Officer who led the French investigation between 1997 and 1999, Commander Jean-Claude Mules, states it was obvious it was a straightforward car crash and what came afterwards were nothing more than allegations with no evidence to support them. He then speaks of his contact with James Andanson.

Martyn Gregory then goes on to touch upon the allegations surrounding 'Flash before the Crash' and the time it took to get Diana to the hospital.

Diana's close friend Rosa Monckton who went on holiday with Diana two weeks before she died, gives some insight into Diana's feelings for Dodi. There is then an astonishing revelation about what was said about the supposed engagement ring that is now on display in Harrods, backed up by Claude Roulet who collected the ring from the Repossi jewellers.

Martyn Gregory explains how CCTV destroyed the fabrication that Diana and Dodi planned to live together. Diana's friend Rosa Monckton then gives her own delicate evidence proving she couldn't have been pregnant. Pregnancy turns out to be the allegation that is fatal to the conspiracy theorists' case.

Martyn Gregory then springs a Roger Cook style surprise interview on Mohammed Fayed as he leaves the Royal Courts of Justice in London on the day the Jury formally repelled his claims of murder. Fayed remains uncharacteristically silent, however.

What I notice about this documentary is that it interviews people who were present at the time of the events under analysis and most of them met or knew Diana very close to her death. The pro-conspiracy theory documentaries almost always only feature people who were far away and had no direct connection at all to events and are mere armchair commentators.

With the inquest now over, I hope we can move on from Diana's death and can now fondly remember and celebrate her life. It is a shame that her death was tarnished by false and often absurd allegations that all had a self-serving purpose for Mohammed Fayed.

Schoolboy NOT Diana Was Oliver Hoare Phone Pest

A SCHOOLBOY waging a bullying campaign against another was responsible for many of the "obsessive" telephone calls to the home of art dealer Oliver Hoare that were attributed to the Princess of Wales.

During her Panorama interview last week, the Princess said "a young boy" was the source of up to 300 nuisance calls made to Mr Hoare's home in 1992 and 1993, but she did not identify the boy.

Inquiries by the Independent on Sunday have established that the calls were made by a 16-year-old pupil of Stowe School in Buckinghamshire. It is understood the boy, who has since been expelled, made the calls to one of Mr Hoare's sons, either Tristan, 17, or Damien, 15, who attended the school.

The Princess's insistence that she did not make the calls was an important part of her defence against suggestions from what she called "the enemy" - the Prince of Wales's friends - that she was unstable.

The story of the calls broke last year after the Princess was implicated in a police investigation into nuisance calls made to the London home of Mr Hoare over an 18-month period. It emerged that the Princess's private line at Kensington Palace, her mobile phone, the home of her sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and several call-boxes in the area featured on the list of numbers being looked at by police. She denied making the calls, in which the caller said nothing before replacing the receiver.

Mr Hoare, 50, called in the police in October 1993, and police say the calls stopped last March, but not before the Princess's reputation had been damaged.

In her Panorama interview, the Princess admitted making some calls to Mr Hoare, a family friend, but she added: "I was reputed to have made 300 telephone calls in a very short space of time, which, bearing my lifestyle at that time, made me a very busy lady. No I didn't, I didn't. That again was a huge move to discredit me, and very nearly did me in, the injustice of it, because I did my own homework on that subject and consequently found out that a young boy had done most of them."

A source close to the Princess said: "There appears to have been some conflict between one of Mr Hoare's sons and another boy at the school, who is now 17. The latter made a lot of calls from phone boxes in the Kensington, Bayswater and Notting Hill areas of London. These were the ones that some people suspected Diana was using. There was some bullying and it appears the calls were ... a form of harassment."

Stowe School refused to comment. A spokeswoman said: "We have students removed from time to time, just like other schools. But our policy is not to disclose who they are or why they were removed."

Diana And Oliver Hoare

AS ELEGANT AND DISCREET AS ITS owner, Oliver Hoare's Ahuan Gallery is a curiously uninviting place these days. On posh Eccleston Street in London's Belgravia, the gallery where Hoare, 49, sold Islamic art to clients including Queen Noor of Jordan and the Sultan of Brunei looks deserted: No one answers the door, and the reception desk is unattended. A month after London papers broke the story that the dashing Hoare had received over 300 anonymous phone calls believed to be from the Princess of Wales, the only artifact in the display window is, symbolically, a suit of armor.

Since being pegged as the man with whom the princess is obsessed, Hoare has found himself under attack from all sides. Fleet Street's finest have been camping out at the $3.5 million house on Chelsea's fashionable Tregunter Road where he lives with wife Diane, 46, and their children Tristan, 17, Damien, 15, and Olivia, 12. Tabloids are gleefully reporting that, instead of being a family man who merely offered a sympathetic shoulder to Diana when her marriage was foundering, Hoare is a compulsive charmer who had a fiery liaison with a Turkish-born socialite. And behind the scenes, insiders are hinting that his relationship with Di, 33, may not have been platonic. "The consensus is that they definitely had an affair," says one seasoned Di-watcher. "No question about it. Diana became completely besotted with him."

Palace-watchers also claim that Prince Charles and longtime lover Camilla Parker Bowles (also a close friend of Hoare's) knew of the alleged affair and Di's phone calls six months before the story emerged in the press. In the words of Daily Mail columnist Nigel Dempster, Charles's knowledge of the "burgeoning friendship" between Di and Hoare made Charles feel "less constrained in making his admission... that he had broken his marriage vows"—a confession offered in an interview with freelance broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby on ITV last June.

Hoare's professional life has come under scrutiny as well. In recent weeks, London has learned that his gallery has been losing money heavily—as much as $700,000 last year—and that he once sold a valuable page from an early Koran that proved to have been stolen. Though colleagues who will speak on the record characterize his business dealings as "utterly beyond reproach," it came to light following a 1989 burglary at his gallery that Hoare had overinsured some antiques for more than 10 times their real value.

On Sept. 7 the tale became still more tantalizing when nude photos of Charles, who is close to both Hoare and his wife, were published by the German paper Bild Zeitung. As it happened, Charles was on a solitary holiday at a chateau near Avignon, France, owned by Diane Hoare's mother, Baroness Louise de Waldner, when paparazzi caught him toweling off in his bedroom. Besides creating an uproar over the intrusion, the incident demonstrated just how close the two families are—and how little Charles seemed to mind that his wife has been under Hoare's spell. Says one royal-watcher: "The fact that he was prepared to stay at the villa while the story was unfolding is evidence that he's still friendly with Oliver. I don't think Charles really cares if [Hoare] was having an affair with Diana or not." Adds Lady Colin Campbell, author of Diana, the Princess Nobody Knows: "Why would Charles mind? He has nothing to do with the woman. The fact that he knew of the affair is a sign of his complete indifference."

In the wake of these embarrassments, Hoare retreated to the safety of his antique-filled home, where he vents his frustrations in what he calls his screaming room—a soundproof haven where he copes with stress by yelling at the top of his lungs. He emerged from his house briefly on Aug. 28 for a stroll with son Damien, but politely declined to answer questions from the press.

As friends tell it, the man whom Diana chose as a confidant has always been known for his discretion. "He's an old-fashioned gentleman," says Dale Egee, proprietor of a London gallery called Egee Art Consultancy. "He has a very scholarly background and a retiring, even vulnerable manner that is very appealing to women."

The son of Reginald Hoare, a civil servant, and his wife, Irina, Hoare studied at the Sorbonne after graduating from Eton in 1963. Fascinated with Iran, he found a mentor in Princess Hamoush Azodi-Bowler, who invited him to stay at the Tehran mansion where she played host to a circle of artistic young aristocrats. (It was there that Hoare met business partner David Sulzberger, whose family owns The New York Times.) "Everybody loved him," Azodi-Bowler told the Daily Mail. "He played the guitar and sang beautifully...[at parties] he would dedicate different songs to different women."

Described by a friend who spoke to the Daily Mail as an "extravagantly pretty" young man "who would turn the heads of both men and women," Hoare began to move in ever more exalted circles. After returning to London he set up a gallery that attracted customers including Rudolf Nureyev and in 1974 began wooing Diane de Waldner, a French oil heiress whose mother is close to the Queen Mum.

It was eight years after the Hoares' 1976 wedding that Oliver met Charles at a Windsor Castle house party. The prince struck up a friendship with the worldly Hoare, who became a frequent visitor at Highgrove, Charles's home in Gloucestershire. By the late 1980s, Hoare had also befriended Diana, who shared his love of ballet.

That relationship seems not to have become close, however, until 1992, when Hoare helped to cushion the breakup for both Charles and Di. By that time, his own marriage was still recovering from his six-month fling with ex-beauty queen Ayesha Nadir, whose estranged husband, clothing tycoon Asil Nadir, had been a client. On Aug. 28, Ayesha, now divorced, told the News of the World that the affair began in 1986, when Hoare offered her solace after she learned that Nadir's mistress had borne him two children. Traced to her villa on the Bosphorus, Hoare's ex-lover (who reportedly left him after concluding that he would never divorce Diane) told The Evening Standard, "Oliver is such a refined man. It is hard to resist his charms."

Di, too, apparently found Hoare difficult to resist. "I think she fell in love with Oliver, maybe because she's never been loved properly," Ayesha told the News of the World. Though it is unclear just when—or whether—the two had a physical relationship, Diana seems to have been infatuated with Hoare by September 1992, three months before the Waleses separated and the anonymous calls began. Although Diana reportedly was silent whenever Hoare answered, she is said to have shouted "a stream of abuse" when Diane picked up the phone.

Although most Di-watchers feel that she made the calls simply to hear Hoare's voice, Campbell believes that Diane may have been the target. "[Diana] made those calls to taunt her because she's jealous," says Campbell. (That notion was supported by recent reports that, for years, Parker Bowles received silent calls that she claims were from her royal rival.) For her part, Diane reportedly believed that the relationship between Di and her husband was getting out of hand; Dempster said recently that she told Charles that Hoare had "had an affair" with Diana.

In any case, it was Diane (whose money reportedly is helping to offset her husband's business difficulties) who demanded that Hoare ask the police to investigate. Still, he declined to press charges after he discovered last January who his caller was, and he apparently did not abandon the princess. According to The Sun, Hoare (who was still serving as a liaison between the Waleses) called Diana "at least 15 times" in the days following a March 14 dinner with friends at a Chinese restaurant, after which he returned with her to the palace. "A royal source" told the paper that one call last April "started at around 8:30 at night and went on for close to [90 minutes]. Who knows what was being talked about, but they obviously had plenty on their minds."

At the moment, the charismatic Hoare seems to be hoping that lying low will solve at least one of his problems—that of being stalked by a rowdy crowd of newsmen. Whether it can quell Diana's obsession remains to be seen. Last month, the. News of the World reported that the distressed princess rang Hoare's home seven times during a four-day period in late August—after the tabloids had reported that she was hounding him. Telling the housekeeper that she had to "speak to [Oliver] urgently," the princess reportedly hung up when she was told it was impossible. In the weeks to come, it seems, that "screaming room" may come in handy.

Princess Diana Inquest : Video - The Framing Of Henri Paul

Henri Paul : How COULD Carbon Monoxide Enter His Bloodstream ?

by Dr. Alan D. Barbour (contributor)

M. Henri Paul died Sunday, 31 August 1997.

Autopsy at Paris morgue:

Blood samples drawn directly from the heart.

Urine, eye fluid and bile sampled.

Urine and vitreous humor samples can be used for alcohol analysis - values slightly higher than for blood at equilibrium; of no use for CO analysis. Vitreous humor not often taken in such a case (fresh body, other fluids readily available), but a good precaution. Can also be used for some other tests. Bile is, in my opinion (others may differ), largely useless for drug analysis.
Stomach was intact, as were other organs. Aorta ruptured.

Ruptured aorta consistent with side impact at greater than forty-odd mph. As I recall, the Mercedes did not hit the column head-on.

No liver damage or signs of alcoholism.

Chronic alcoholism should be manifested in the liver, and detectable by examination of tissue sections. Long before cirrhosis sets in there is fatty liver, and before that comes alcoholic hepatitis (inflammation of the liver).

Autopsy: Second Batches

4 September 1997 a separate blood sample was drawn, at the request of the family of M. Paul. It is reported that when Stephan saw the first lab. test results and realized their import, he personally attended the taking of a second batch of bodily fluid samples, had the process photographed, and used different labs for tests.

It is, at least in form, what a conscientious magistrate would do; and the more complicated a conspiracy, the more people who are involved in it, the less the chance that it can be kept secret.

First test results

a. Drugs

First results announced afternoon of Monday, 1 September 1997

Blood, hair, eye fluid and organ tissues "examined under microscopes, shaken up in test tubes and centrifuges, and combined with chemical reagents..."

Hair analysis? For past drug use? Quite up-to-date--cutting edge, even.

b. Alcohol

Police lab analysis reported 1.87 g/l blood-alcohol; a private lab as a control reported 1.74 g/l.

Identical results, within the limits of experimental uncertainly. The second decimal place should not be reported, because the first decimal place is uncertain by plus or minus one in a good lab.

Alcohol testing is very standardized; these days it would almost surely be done by gas chromatography. The traces of drugs detected would probably have been measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) which can be very good in capable hands or quite the opposite, but said traces of drugs are probably less important than the carbon monoxide.

c. Carbon Monoxide

The principal methods of testing for CO are:

1) A type of automated or semi-automated analyzer intended to measure CO in the blood of living subjects. (Commonly called a "co-oximeter" in the U.S.) Common in hospitals of areas where CO poisonings are frequent. Generally accepted as reliable for freshly and specially collected blood from living subjects; not acceptable for coroners' bloods.

2) Manual spectrophotometric methods where a blood sample is split, the aliquots are treated in two different ways, and spectrophotometric absorbence readings are taken at different wavelengths. The CO level is calculated in a rather intricate manner that involves a small difference between two large numbers. The chemical treatments (some of which are time-sensitive, despite what the textbooks say to the contrary), extensive manipulation and the inherent uncertainties in the measurements combined with the calculation render this method very questionable.

3) Liberation of the CO from the hemoglobin in a closed vessel and its consequent measurement. I know of one lab that measures the liberated CO with an infrared detector. The classical method is to use Conway diffusion cells, which allow one to liberate the CO and then take it up in a solution of palladium chloride, which is thereby decolorized in proportion to the amount of CO in the sample. The CO liberating solution should contain lead acetate to prevent liberation of hydrogen sulfide from putrefied bloods. As long as enough time is allowed for diffusion to take place, this is very reliable (caveat infra).

CAVEAT: Calculation of the carbon monoxide saturation requires measurement of the amount of hemoglobin in the sample tested. The "cyanmethemoglobin" method is the most accurate, and the manual cyanmethemoglobin method works well. However, the cyanmethemoglobin method is often used in automated blood cell counters (e.g., "Coulter" counters), and many people assume it is reliable for measuring hemoglobin in coroners' samples as well as in living subjects. This is not true in the case of blood samples containing significant amounts of carbon monoxide, because they need more time to react than the automated analyzers allow, thus giving falsely low hemoglobin readings and falsely high CO saturations.

CAVEAT #2: Standardization of most carboxyhemoglobin assays is difficult, perhaps unreliable at best. Only the diffusion dish method is readily standardized. Quality control is also not terribly easy. (I used to make my own quality control specimens by bubbling automobile exhaust fumes through a bottle of blood, hoping to escape notice in the parking lot! Since the introduction of low-pollution engines it has been more difficult to make controls by this method--one must search out an old car or use a lawn mower.)

If the CO results were duplicated at two different labs that would seem to vindicate the results UNLESS the two labs used the same analytical method. If they used significantly different methods AND obtained equivalent results, the CO concentration of the blood sample is quite likely correct.

On the other hand, as you say, CO dissipates quickly. If the 20% level is verified, this would mean that his CO level at 10 pm could have been much higher than 20%.

The CO level goes down quickly IF one is given 100% oxygen to breathe rather than air. In competition with air (21% oxygen), CO will win out. After death CO levels will be quite stable.

Henri Paul - If His Blood Was Switched Then He Was Framed

1.) Allegedly, five samples of blood, all processed and dealt with in precisely the same way, were taken from Henri Paul’s body. However, in the Paris court proceeding, Professor Dominique Lecomte confirmed on oath and under examination that, in fact, she only took three samples of blood from Henri Paul’s body on 31 August.

2.) Why did the record books show five samples taken from Henri Paul’s body, if, according to Professor Lecomte, only three were taken?  Where did the other two alleged samples come from?  Who took those two alleged samples; and, when and how were those samples taken?

3.) Although the five samples were all allegedly taken at the same time from Henri Paul’s body, we also now know they were in different sorts of bottles…. some bottles had typed labels and some had handwritten labels.  There is also evidence that the name of someone else was scratched out on one bottle and that Henri Paul’s name was written over it.

4.) Two of these alleged five samples were then sent off to different laboratories for testing, while three of the alleged five samples were kept at the Institute where the autopsy was carried out.

5.) The two samples sent off to different laboratories both allegedly tested positive for an illegally high driver blood-alcohol level – showing identical excessive amounts of alcohol in the blood – between 1.73-1.75 grams of alcohol per liter.

6.) However, one of the two laboratory-tested samples also showed a level of 20.7% carbon monoxide!  No credible explanation has ever been given as to why one sample had 20.7% carbon monoxide in it.  All experts agree that Henri Paul could not have had a 20.7% level of carbon monoxide in his blood at the time.  If Henri Paul had actually had a combination of 1.73 g/L blood-alcohol level and 20.7% carbon monoxide in his blood just prior to the crash, experts say he would have been unable to stand up on his own, let alone drive a vehicle. That is why virtually every expert involved in this case has said that it is most unlikely that the blood that yielded these test results was from Henri Paul......read more

Princess Diana - Hidden Evidence

Trevor Rees-Jones 'Remembers' Night Of Tragedy (Archive)

TREVOR Rees-Jones, the bodyguard who survived the crash in which Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Fayed died, has recovered his memory of the fatal crash.
In a series of revelations to today's Mirror newspaper Mr Rees-Jones says he believes Diana was still conscious after the accident and called out to her boyfriend.: "I have had flashes of a female voice calling out in the back of the car ... then Dodi's name is called. It can only have been Princess Diana."

Mr Rees-Jones also insists that their chauffeur Henri Paul, who also died, had shown no sign of being drunk before he took the wheel. "If he had shown any signs of being drunk I would never have let him near our car," he says. Post-mortem tests revealed Mr Paul to have been three times over the legal drink-drive limit.

Mr Rees-Jones insists he has not financially benefited for his story, his fee being donated instead to charity. However his decision to speak about the fatal night may shock many people.

When Mr Rees-Jones made his first, faltering steps into the full glare of the media spotlight as he left the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital in Paris last October, it seemed somehow appropriate that he was wearing sunglasses.

The former member of the 1st Battalion the Parachute Regiment with a degree in sport and biological science had been a member of the so-called Fayed protection team since 1994 and so a studied anonymity had been part of his stock in trade. Publicity was something he had learnt to avoid, but now everyone knew his name, and more particularly everyone wanted to know how much he remembered of that fateful summer night.

Five months on from his release from hospital, Mr Rees-Jones still bears the scars of his horrific injuries, most strikingly a five-inch welt which meanders from his left nostril across his cheek, but his health has improved remarkably. He has returned to light duties four days a week at Harrods and friends in his home town of Oswestry say that he is hoping to begin playing for the local rugby team again in September.

The real fight that Mr Rees-Jones now faces is in fending off the media and attempting to return to his former anonymity. It could be a long fight, for, as Mirror editor Piers Morgan put it on Saturday, "This is no ordinary Trevor. This is the most famous Trevor in the world."

To be honest, one struggles to think of any competition in terms of world- famous Trevors, but you catch Mr Morgan's drift. His purple prose was all part of talking up the "exclusive" interview with Mr Rees-Jones which begins today in his newspaper. In three interviews with Herve Stephan, Mr Rees-Jones had told the judge investigating the accident that he was unable to recall anything about the actual crash on 31 August last year. However, at a meeting with his psychiatrist last Wednesday, Mr Rees-Jones remembered "a little more" (his own words). Later the same day, he was interviewed by Piers Morgan at Harrods.

Mr Rees-Jones was in hiding yesterday after making a statement via his solicitors stressing that he had not received "one penny piece" from the Mirror for the interview nor had he granted them any form of exclusivity. He also expressed his concern about previous articles in the press which had criticised his professional conduct on the night of the crash and had suggested that he was not properly trained for his role. "These allegations are wholly spurious and I will, as and when I think it appropriate to do so, make public comment," his statement said.

According to Mr Rees-Jones, the Mirror's claims about exclusivity have caused him "great personal difficulty". One wonders, therefore, why he spoke to them at all. Which is where Mohamed Al Fayed comes in. Recently, Mr Fayed gave his own interview to Mr Morgan in which he presented his somewhat eccentric version of events surrounding the accident.

REES-JONES UNDERCOVER

Trevor Rees-Jones served at least one tour of duty in Ulster and was awarded the General Service Medal with Northern Ireland clasp. A friend who served with him said: "We had some hush-hush jobs, the sort of things we are never allowed to talk about."

TREVOR'S TONGUE

It was widely reported in the days immediately following the accident that Rees-Jones had lost his tongue in the crash (or "his tongue was ripped out in the horror", as the Sun put it). This of course was not the case, but he did undergo a 10-hour operation to rebuild his jaw and for a time it was feared that he would not make a full recovery from the serious facial, head and chest injuries he had suffered. The fact that he did has much to do with his extremely high level of fitness. As one former army friend puts it: "Trevor is as strong as an ox". According to his father-in-law, he is "a very fit lad".

TREVOR'S DOUBLE LIFE

The extent of Rees-Jones's former anonymity is illustrated by the fact that only his closest relatives knew what his job was. Team-mates at his local rugby club in Oswestry thought he worked for a London security firm and had no idea that he jetted around the world as Dodi Fayed's minder. "God knows how he could have worked with Princess Di," one said. Rees- Jones was considered to be the life and soul of the party at Oswestry Rugby Club, but he never talked about his job. "Trevor is a very confidential guy," says one of his friends.

ME AND MRS REES-JONES

Rees-Jones was simply Trevor Rees until 1995 when he married his wife, Sue, and added her surname to his.

The pair had met during their time at Fitzalan School in Oswestry.

Mrs Rees-Jones was once a buyer for Harrods and now runs a kitchen and gift shop in the town. By last June the marriage had hit a rocky patch. Rees-Jones's wife had asked him for a quickie divorce and he had moved out of their luxury home in Whittington, Shropshire. Nevertheless, his wife immediately flew out to be at his bedside after hearing news of the crash. She told reporters: "I'm very fond of Trevor and will give him my full emotional, moral and any other support I possibly can during his recovery from his awful injuries."

Ironically, surgeons used photographs from Rees-Jones's wedding as a guide when they were rebuilding his face.
